The Dragon Wagon 3 Day Adventure Tour
DAY 1 – suggested activity
This is our best selling tour taking you from Cardiff the Capital City of Wales; we collect you from outside Cardiff Castle. You then travel up into the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Here you will go Gorge Walking, leaping from rock to rock and into crystal clear mountain streams, climbing pounding waterfalls and feeling the exhilaration of the icy cold water on your face as you swim through pools and slide down chutes in a natural water park.
Your first evening and the accommodation, The Stonecroft Inn, is an independent Hostel in Llanwrtyd Wells the smallest town in Wales. Llanwrtyd is the home of the World Bog Snorkeling Championships, the Man V Horse race and many other bizarre and exciting activities! The Hostel has an excellent menu and is in the good beer guide.
DAY 2 – suggested activity
Day 2 sees you traveling through the beautiful scenery of West Wales to the rugged coastline of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Here you will take part in “Coasteering”, THE West Wales Adventure sport. Using the breathtaking sea cliffs and natural rocky bays, you climb, swim, jump and traverse your way around the fantastic coastline.
Staying on your second night in Fishguard, the old lower town was used in the filming of “Under Milk Wood” as the setting for Dylan Thomas’ fantastical fishing village of “Llareggub”, or Buggerall backwards. The Hamilton Backpacker Lodge is right in the town centre where there is always something going on and you will never be short of entertainment.
DAY 3 – suggested activity
Day three sees you traveling back to Cardiff via Afan Argoed Forest Park, the Mountain Bike course here has some of the best downhill trails that the UK has to offer. It caters for all levels from complete beginner to Mountain Biking Maniac. Finally you arrive back in Cardiff, ready for your next big adventure. *Hire of Mountain bikes is NOT included in the tour price.
During your tour all travel, accommodation and admissions are included in the price. Mountain Biking and White Water rafting can be booked in advance at extra cost. Also included is the use of all appropriate safety equipment, wet suits, helmets etc. All you need bring with you are some good boots and Waterproofs, as we cannot always guarantee the weather in Gods country!
A basic level of fitness is required to take part in all adventurous activities and the ability to swim is an advantage for Coasteering. All the appropriate safety and technical equipment is provided.
